Finally, back to somewhere where the currency is 1:1. We were sick of the exchange feeling like 2:1, so the CHF was a very welcomed change. But that is only one item on the list of great things about Switzerland. Although it was still quite cold there, we were still able to take in the amazing landscapes. Interlaken, the town we stayed in, is situated between two beautiful, clear lakes with a backdrop of the alps. Not too shabby. It is also a great place to try out some amazing outdoor activities. However, the two activites that we wanted to do were closed until summer (bungee jumping and ice climbing) so we found other ways to entertain ourselves. On day two we rented an ATV named OLD BETTY. She had a little transmission problem...kinda struggled getting up those hills. We headed to a small town called Grindlewald to check out some glaciers. That was a great decision...it was astonishingly beautiful, but oh so freezing!! The third day we were there, Steven deciding to go Paragliding because it was an absolutley beautiful day without a cloud in the sky...so it was perfect day for a bird's eye view of Interlaken. Later that evening, we went to check out a ropes course. It was opening day of the season, so it was free!!! That made it even better.
Another wonderful thing about Interlaken was that our hostel had a kitchen. So, we were able to go to the grocery store and cook up some delicious dinners every night. Just the way we like! After 5 days in Switzerland...we decided to pack up and head to Germany.
