Marseille, Marseille, Marseille…First of all, We got in late at night again, however, this time it was juuust late enough for us to find out that the busses are no longer running. The hostel we booked was one that we could not walk to, so we were depending on inner-city public transport. But there was one last hope.We had e-mailed the owner of the hostel ahead of time and they had offered to pick us up at 22:30 (everything is in military time in Europe, we aren't just being fancy). Luckily, he showed up right about when we were about to get mugged for Steven´s iPhone…those things are gold over here, they haven't been released anywhere…not even in Australia. ANYWAY, this story makes a u-turn from bad to amazing. Our hostel was actually a B&B in an old French chateau. We were blown away.We had our own room, not dormitory style, our own terrace and breakfast in the a.m.!All for the price of a hostel! The man who owned it was very sweet and let us borrow his son's computer and also offered to drive us back to the metro. We were about to leaving Marseille, but couldn't until we had checked out the fish market (something Steven had seen on the Discovery channel). The second you stepped off the metro (underground and blocks from the harbour) all you could smell was FISH! We weren't even sure if it was open, but from the smell that hit us when we walked out of the metro…we knew. After browsing the strange fish for a while, we headed back to the train station and headed to Barcelona, Spain!!
