From Zadar, we take a bus to Split. We use busses in Croatia because it is cheap and also because it is much faster than the train service. But, this time, we booked the hostel in advance, but, you would know about a dozen old ladies surround us the second we stepped of the bus.On the first day we walked through an open market next to the Diocletian Palace and then along the beautiful coast and hiked up Marjan…a mountain that overlooks all of Split. The view was great until a storm moved in and soaked us and turned the visibility pretty bad.The second day he headed to an Island off the coast called Hvar.It is a small island with amazing scenery and a nice town setting. We were really lucky and were able to rent a boat for the entire day and went island hopping off the coast of Hvar.Since Captain Bacon was with us we were able to go alone. After cruising around, we anchored at a secluded cove and had a picnic on our boat while listening to the birds and waves and looking through the crystal water at fish and coral, ahhh, it was so very nice.We sadly returned the boat and headed back to Split. The next day we packed up again and headed off to Dubrovnik.
