To all my loyal fans: I'm sorry I've been absent from the blogging scene!

Since Paris I've only traveled to Ireland, and since I've already been there and this trip was just for catch up purposes, I didn't bother writing a blog. But now I'm back AND I've experienced Karnivale in Germany, which is well worth writing about.

So, just quickly about Ireland: As always, it didn't disappoint. I had the best time catching up with my lovely friends and also meeting some new ones. I even kissed the Blarney stone. But I'm so ready to explore the rest of Europe now!

As for Karnivale...

WOW. Just wow! I have literally never seen anything like it in my life. You come to realise how strict Australia is on serving alcohol responsibly and keeping order on the streets. Picture thousands of drunk people...at any given time of the day. Floats ranging from wedding themed (with a giant cake), Noah's ark with all the occupants dressed up as animals or just a car trailer with a bunch of random people having a piss up in the back! These floats hand out a RIDONKULOUS amount of lollies and chocolate, and alcohol. All for free. And when I say alcohol...I'm talking beer, wine, champagne, bombora, vodka shots, or just a concoction of their choice. In addition to the floats there were people dressed as Doctors shooting alcohol into your mouth with a plastic syringe. Gardeners with alcohol filled watering cans..

All of this craziness was accompanied with singing a lot of traditional German Karnivale songs and plenty of dancing. After the parades there would be a crazy dance party inside somewhere. The idea of Karnivale is to go nuts before Lent...everyone should experience Karnivale at least once in their life! If not in Germany then in Spain, Italy or Brazil. Somewhere! It's amazing and I would do it again in a heartbeat.

So that's it from me for now, I'm off to London tomorrow so see some fellow Tareeians so I will write again next week. Also I have booked Austria, Berlin, Prague, Amsterdam, Scotland, Croatia...... ok I'll stop now, haha. Having the best time!!!
