Happiness Is The Road
We got up early today as we had booked the camper in for a service. We had covered 5000 kilometres since it was last serviced in Broome. We had an early brekky and dropped the camper off at the garage at 8. They told us that it would be ready by lunch time. We weren't too far from the town centre and the weather was lovely so we set off for a walk around. There was a slight chill in the air and a gorgeous blue sky. We walked through the industrial area where the garage was and down to the seafront. We had a mooch along the front looking at the big boats in the bay and the islands off in the distance and then we walked through the town to Woolies to get some bread. Esperance really is a lovely place. At about quarter to ten we had a phone call from the garage to say that our little camper was ready, a lot earlier than we thought, so that was great. We made our way back to the garage feeling great after all the walking. We must have walked at least six kilometres. We went back to the campsite and chilled for a while before driving along the ocean road to one of Esperance's beautiful beaches to have lunch. The beaches here really are dazzling. We parked up at Picnic Beach and ate our food to the most amazing view and the sound of the crashing surf. We had a walk along the sand and scrambled over the rocks. We even saw a rock on the beach that looked just like a little dog. After this we just spent our time relaxing back at the caravan park.
