Costa Rica Day 4 Recollection
Day 4 in Costa Rica was one of the most memorable days in Costa Rica so far we woke up to a great prayer and reflection on our faith as a person. Luis then told us that we were going to have PANCAKES!!! Probably the best breakfast we have had so far. It was served with tangerine and some more tropical juice. With that said we were again whisked away from the house to start our final day at the Nutritional Centre. Once there, we were introduced to Denise the director of the facility and she explained to us through Karolyn another one of the Basecamp Costa Rica staff what we were going to do today. We then started moving cupboards and all of the tables and benches to prepare for painting inside. I was out with Mr. Sangster holding the ladder and a bucket of paint most of the time and then went inside to finish the bathroom which hurt your throat because of the fumes from the paint. Once we finished Sadie Reed and Mrs. Porter gave a speech which was translated by Karolyn and then Denise told us through Karolyn that we are welcome back anytime and that the gates are always open to us. Also, how grateful she was which was nice to hear after all the hard work we put into rejuvenate that Nutrition Centre. We then took a photo on the bus and came home to relax until Luis told us we were going for ice cream which was actually really fun and the ice cream tasted Fantastico. We then returned to relax and play cards until Luis told us we would not be Salsa dancing until tomorrow and then we played more cards and I am now going to bed at 10:30 even though I want to go to bed at 9 which is impossible with our evening prayer schedule. I thank you for reading and there will be another when there is another update from Costa Rica!
