Biking!! After watching the documentary Food Matters and a Tedtalk on Cancer prevention I had a lot of trouble sleeping. The documentaries looked at our diets and how they cause disease and how they can also cure it. I certainly haven't been feeding my body properly and the weakness and illness I have had over last year I am sure is in a huge part due to my poor dietary choices. Another breakfast fit for a king and I was off to the park to use the outdoor gym equipment again. Today there was less people using the equipment but more people walking their dogs and relaxing in the park - turns out I am not the only person here that doesn't work. Another visit to the phone store and I am sold on buying the Samsung galaxy note 3 -phone/pad. I joined Ena's Mother and brother for another delicious lunch and then hung-out with Miguel for a while. Mid afternoon Miguel took me for a tour of the city on Mexicos new hire bicycles. Basically all over the main parts of the city you can find bike stations where you can collect and drop off the bikes. I was a little nervous on the road but realizing the cars were not going so fast and with Miguel on the inside lane I soon got my confidence up. We stopped at some famous city sites, the old castle in the park and road through some of the most wealthy areas of the city. I am once again suprised at how beautiful the city is and its abundance of green space is unlike anywhere else I have been. We also took a walk through Polenki - one of Mexicos new - still in progress rich neighborhoods. On the way back it got dark very quickly and that combined with peak hour traffic made the bike riding quiet exciting and I felt a little adrenaline rush for the first time in a while.
