Today I had a good sleep in and then waited for my host Erika to get back. It was a bit boring waiting around and seen as I don't have a key I couldn't go anywhere. When Erika got back she took me down to her Mothers little resteraunt - I felt bad as I didn't want to keep eating here without paying - anyways half way through she told me I had to pay, this was fair enough I just didn't like how I was invited - half eat my food and then bam by the way you pay haha! Lesson learned though and I won't eat there again as its quiet expensive and I couldn't eat half the things anyways. After lunch we went for a big walk around Bogota, unfortunately the rain had started so we had to take an umbrella and rug up. People here are very different to the last few countries I have been and I guess more rude, in their own worlds and cars don't give way to pedestrians. Bogota is definitely a big city and you feel this everywhere - I guess this is not the perfect place for me. We checked out the malls had a bit of a look around the supermarket which I found super interesting; loads of different fruits I have never seen before, interesting snack things but quite expensive. We wondered around a bit more and made it to another mall that had a wonderful view of the city - from here I got my bearings - Erika's house being west of the city and east is city centre and the cathedral on the hill. After looking around we made the long hike back to Erika's - by the end of it she was so tired and over it haha I felt terrible she wanted to catch bus but I insisted we walk! I walked to supermarket and brought a few things for dinner then headed back to eat. Really strange but Erika's family don't really eat dinner - they have snacks but no dinner, kind of makes me embarrassed to eat but ohwell I ain't going to starve myself.
