Woke up, still very stiff in my back, got loaded up with some drugs (muscle relaxant, painkiller, anti-inflamatory) which made things a bit better, but not completely pain-free.
Today Aunty Sue was at work, and my Uncle's truck needed to go into the shops to get new suspension (air bags) so after being taken to work by my uncle and dropped the truck off, my uncle came back and we had a bit of a bite to eat, sorted some things out with the horses. And decided that it was too hot to really do anything outside especialy with the horses, as we wanted to get Bonnie going round the pen on her own. Instead we had to go in side as it was 37 degree's out side in the sun. we watch National Treasure 2, which was a good film, then my Uncle went to pick my Aunty up from work.
When she got back we got got a call from Joan Edberg, as friend of ours, she is American but hates America and has lived here for years. She had a saddle and a new bit for me to try on Bonnie, a nice synthetic western saddle, so much lighter than the traditional leather ones, and a rubber bit. So we went over, and her husband Rick is a gun collector and shoots at a high level in the local gun club. We went into his workshop where he had literally thousands of bullets, and three rifles which he was cleaning. He showed me and my uncle, many different types of bullets and explained which gun and what they were used for. And showed use the three rifles he had there, they all had scopes and were rather cool! After looking at these for a while we went into the house and walking through the livingroom there was lots of game/hunting trophies on the wall, when Rick had been to Africa, a Buffalo and Water Buck and many others, all with the bullet that killed the animal on the plaque underneath. We went to where he stored his guns to put the rifles back. He had numerous rifles and an even larger handgun colletection, there was barretta's, browning's loads! But my favourite was the .44 magnum (Dirty Harry Gun) which was real big a pretty heavy, but damn it was cool! Then there was a few more rifles one of which had a holographic sight on it. We then went back into the living room were my Aunty and Joan had me talking. My Uncle got a book from Rick on Canadain gun law as he is thinking about getting a firearm. We then went and got the tack with Joan.
We needed to get some food, so we left there about 5pm and went into town to get a take-out. We went to Joey's fish and chips were I had chips and half a chicken. We got it home and ate. Then after doing any other necessary tasks like checking horses water e.t.c. we watched a bit of TV and went to bed, a pretty cool day, although would have been much better had I not had a bad back. Again no photo's I really must get my act together…
