Day 101 (Thursday 25th January)
Everyone's up early around here so they took great pleasure when waking Marc at 05:20 this morning for the live Arsenal game!
Fortunately this time there was no fog, but the programme did have half an hour's build up, followed by 15 minutes kick-off delay. Even funnier than that, he later found out that the whole game was replayed at 15:00 that afternoon!
Nevertheless, it was well worth getting up for, the young guns with a rousing comeback in the second half against the old adversary on their own patch. Go on the 'Beast'! Wonder if he claimed another hat-trick?
The humidity outside was almost unbearable, how funny then to hear that it's snowing back home! We sweated it out in the computer room updating the site, whilst Cameron climbed over us and computer in the process.
David got a kentucky in for tea and while a storm hit Brisbane, we kicked back and watched the hilarious Billy Madison and psychotic Fatal Attraction.
Day 102 (Friday 26th January) Australia Day
It was up at 05:00 to go fishing on David's boat for the day. We loaded on the rods and gear and sailed off into Moreton Bay.
15-minutes later and Marc was looking greener than Kermit the frog! David found some fish on the radar and with Marc practically hanging off the edge of the boat, Sean dropped anchor. The boat was tossing and turning and by this point Marc was hurling over the side and Stacey flat out on the other...it was time to head back.
Not before David let Sarah in behind the wheel of the boat...not too many landrovers and petrol stations about out here! We decided we'd try again another day and drug Marc up on sickness tablets before we go!
We got back and Marc went straight out looking for a nice fat burger to line his stomach. With no lines in any fishes stomachs we had to settle for bangers and mash for tea. That evening the whole family, bar Andy, headed to Mount Coo-tha to watch the Australia Day fireworks over the city.
PS Make sure Kaileah doesn't open her parcel Sarah's mum and yeah, perhaps we should have left our little near miss round that bend out of our journal...sorryl!! Miss ya x ...
