Finally we got to the apartment around 7pm, the weather is beautiful! Around 12c. Just a little bit chilly than San Francisco without the wind. We walked around here, it is a trendy area with bars, little shops, bakeries. Saw two cyberpunk stores, for many of you don't know what that is, is a fashion style for clubbing, instead of dread the hair- they put plastic tubes attached on hair dreading. tight sexy clothing with neon / black color theme for black light, the neon colors would glow under the black light.
Funny enough the sign of pharmacy, the giant + is like the rave lights. It show different patterns and instead of red, it is neon green. The siren is a better/ lower tone than the American emergency sound, the streets are quiet and peaceful.
Today is halloween, but we are so tired when we got here, so we took a nap and now is 2:08am (6:02pm in sf). We saw not so much people are in customs, street style I saw today is mainly black, and dark colors, boots with leggings, and my red polka dots jacket still stand out. ;)
Definitely, Paris reminded me on London for the European style. Yet so far a lot of people speak English, so I feel fine here.

Wini nailed it on this, leaving out only that I made her "explore the neighborhood" by walking for a few hours and getting lost. But we had a decent meal and I was able to stumble through enough French to order for us, so I feel I redeemed myself right there.
Due to unavoidable circumstances I need to work (this is telecommuting for me, not vacation) and my two day abscence has caused issues. So I'll be up late then on calls at 6 AM local time. After that we'll head out, maybe to Eiffel Tower central, but weekdays I need to be working 12 PM to 8 PM. Also I'll be back in the U.S. next week, but after that in Paris the rest of the time.
Strangely the apartment wifi router seems to only be able to give out a single IP address at a time, so Wini and I cannot be online simultaneously. You have to configure wifi routers to do that, so I'm clueless as to why this would be. But we can call the owners tomorrow. If they are not helpful we can buy another router to provide for the basic human right to multiple internet connectied devices. I mean, how else can one survive? Shall we hunt gazelles on the open plains for sustenance as well?
Crepes are served around the corner at least as late as 2 AM. This is bad for the waistline!
