Well hello,
First I apologise for not updating in ages but at times can be pretty hard when I'm working every day and also out at nights. Sorry.
So much has happened over the last week or so. I have now moved house. For those that didn't know. I wasn't happy in the house I was in. To be totally honest I was miserable and I am now so relieved and happy that I am out of there. Was making me not really enjoy my time here totally. I'll be brief about it, basically the girls came as a group. When I first met them, it was great I fitted in no bother but when I moved in, I just felt left out at times. It was becoming more and more frequent that I wasn't getting invited to things. The icing on the cake came when I suggested going for a xmas meal together only to be told they were going one already and I hadn't been invited. Once I was in the house was very difficult also to make friends as you are more isolated. I have met a few people but just did not feel totally included in the house and did not enjoy even going back there. After a night out, I decided that this isn't what I am in Australia for, don't need the b****iness. the girls were nice individually but they came as a group and these things happen. I also was stuck in Sydney till February and I don't want that, keen to travel sooner not tied to a lease. I decided to advertise my room, a very rash decision rented it out within 6 hours with nowhere myself to stay for New Year. HMMM! Maybe I should have found that first. Oh well! After hours and hours on the internet, walking round hostels and a lot of begging I managed to get myself a room for the Xmas period. Its like the modern version of Mary and Joseph, nowere to sleep he he!
I'm now so much happier am staying near the city centre. Just above an irish pub, its like a hostel. Am sharing a room with two english girls who are fab and have made me feel so welcome. Theres always something going on in the hostel. Its good crack. Loads of irish guys and girls. We have a living room and we all chill out in there. Its fab. Just what I needed. I also went out the other night with them all to the nightclub across the road. Had a fab night. Who needs they nasty Scottish girls. NOT ME!
I've also been hanging around with Lee Paterson from Larkhall and her friend Katia (She works in Amigos). They are both lovely. They came out the other night too.
Tomorrow night Xmas Eve the pub is having an Xmas Eve dinner. Everyone is getting a carry out in the afternoon and sounds as if it will be a great night. Lee and Katia coming to it too so should be good.
I've also met a guy Steve. We've been dating now for a week. Things have been nice. Yesterday was a gorgous day. We went and sat at the bar by the Opera house overlooking the harbour. Views like this make me glad to be here. Was so so nice. Steve's nice but not totally sure I want anything more than friends with him. Just not me. But is a nice guy. We'll see.
Well xmas is upon us and boy don't I know from working in a card shop. Definetley reminds me of my days at Burns. We'reall going to the beach on Xmas day, will be thinking of you all when I'm having a BBQ and chilling out in the sun, Enjoy your turkey, He He!
