Hey folks, sorry i've been a stranger for past week or so. Have been on it every day but been a very lazy bum at updating. So what have I been up to?
Loads! Am def a lot more settled now and beginning to really like Australia. This didn't happen straight away for me like the other countries. Guess its because I'm used to moving every couple of days and found it hard adjusting in me head that I am going to stay in Sydney a couple of months and work when I so don't want to work but such is life!
It's been no bother meeting people. God its so easy. Shes says with her head about to explode.I would never go out pubbing and tours on my own in Scotland but here you have a super confidence and just get on with it. You easily meet other people in backpacker places. However to meet an aussie is a very rare find. Is kinda like living in a backpacker bubble which is good for a while but to totally get the experience I will escape my bubble for a while but return when no friends or for the backpacker laugh, he he!
I'm a working girl now, started a job in a card shop, is boring but pay is not too bad. Trying to get a bar job but not been that easy.
Move into flat with girls on Tues,am hoping wiill be good. Have had doubts about it though as they are travelling together and don't want to feel like an add on. But am sure will be grand. Have made a lot of my own friends here anyway. You meet different people all the time all moving on at different times. I been to some many good bye's now. Always sad!Boo hoo!
Still staying with Kelly and Campbell, love them to bits going to really miss not staying here, they are so nice but we'll still see each other. They are two of the nicest people I've ever met, sook sook!
Well I've had my first taste of aussie men, he he! Literally! Mick from melbourne, 26, primary school teacher, 5 ft 6 ish, brown hair, 6/10 for looks. (she says) Met him in a nightclub but he was only here a few days, shame nice guy! Wouldn't say no! He's away back to melbourne now, just my luck. Been phoning me though said we will meet in Feb when I go, who knows!
Was at a hallowean party last night. Feeling a bit worse for wear today. Had to do it as was missing my annual one at Allan's and Eilidh, boy it just wasn't the same felt as if you should have been there with me. They don't celebrate hallowean here at all. Its just British Backpackers who do. Any excuse for a party, I say! I went as Minnie Mouse. Got my outfit an hour before party and boy did I look good if i don't say so myself. It was such a laugh went with the girls I moving in with and also three other girls I've met along the way. Also met a group of guys all dressed as Mummy's was hilarious we all had toilet paper sticking to our feet by the end of the night.
Went to the Races last weekend with a hostel. What a shame, it was the coldest day ever here and I chose it to go to the races.Went on my own which was a risk could have been a billy no mates all day but met Emma and Rebecca. Had a wkd day, just taking the mickey out of each other and shouting for our horses, mine were rubbush didn't win a thing. Stupid animals!
Then we went back to hostel bar and onto club where I met Mick. A brill day one that will be remembered. Emma is also fab, only staying till November though wish she was here longer. Rebecca comes across as very young though and can be annoying at times. Takes panic attacks when Emma is out her site.Poor Emma their company has sent them out here to work and Emma kinda landed with her, its a shame. Nice but sometimes it's like babysitting.
Well what else, not much, just been having loads of fun and as always drinking too much. Its the free drinks they give you in clubs I blame. Going to have a quiet week and give my wee body a rest for a week.
Tomorrow I'm meeting up with a guy from Hallowean Party and we are going to beach if weather nice if not going to walk across the Harbour Bridge. Not to make you jealous!
Well luv ya!
