We were advised to visit Noosa by Emma and Scott. Since then we had also heard lots of good things about the place and we were keen to see it for ourselves. It was a really beautiful place with one main street full of small shops and a lovely beach (like many of the beaches here).
On our full day in Noosa we visited Australia Zoo which is the zoo founded by Steve Irwin and his family. It was a really fun day, such an interactive and educational zoo and really good for children. We got to watch the famous crocodile show, feed elephants and walk in the enclousers with the kangaroos and koalas.
Noosa itself was a really quiet place and quite expensive for backpackers. We stayed in a hostel quite a way out from the main street which was ok as we were only there for a couple of days and there was a bus that ran hourly into the main area. As there was not very much to do at night Nic and I went out to try and find some life. We ended up in a little stylish bar about 20 mins from our hostel which was also really quiet even though it was the only bar for miles, at most i think there was about 10 people including us and at times it was only us in there. We ended up in there the second night too. We found out that the bar was due to close down in 4 days time - not surprising really.
Next up is Hervey bay for our Fraser Island trip - we had our fingers crossed that all was ok with our vouchers and that they had arrived to our hostel in time.
