I'm enjoying some rare time to myself this week so the perfect chance to update my blog. I haven't been given work this week due to kids being on holiday, and although it's not great money wise, I'm loving a little extra rest time. Its all been pretty full on since I arrived in oz, it's been amazing but I'm just realising that I haven't really stopped! So it's good to just chill out and remember why I came here. Today has been a lovely day off, whilst the rest of my house were out at work, I sunbathed in the garden then enjoyed the evening sun on the balcony with a glass of Rose. Happy times:)

I was actually a little sad to say goodbye to work last week. The kids and my colleagues have been great fun and I look forward to hopefully returning in January. The parents at my centre have been extremely generous and I think I've received more Christmas presents from them than I did at school back home!

I had a nice, yet cheesy, surprise at work last week. I was awarded 'employee of the month' by my agency and had to take a cheesy photo with my certificate! Pretty sad but I was well chuffed, i put it on my fridge at home:)

I am planning to spend the rest of the week sleeping in and sunbathing on the beach. Fingers crossed for the weather! I did most of my Christmas shopping in the city the other day, all ready for my week at the gold coast for Christmas with Lauren's family. It will be quite an experience to enjoy a hot Christmas day, I'm hoping for lots of beach and BBQ action!
