So here I am, in Lue. Embracing the Australian country lifestyle!
As I have been so terrible at updating my blog, here are a few highlights from the past 4 months:
Moving to Manly - living at the 'Dalley Ranch' by the beach, Birthday weekend at Port Stephens (quod biking, horse ride), Xmas at the Goldie, Surfer's Paradise beach, working in the city (office), Sydney coastal walks (bondi - coogee, the spit to manly, watsons bay), New Years at Manly, Burlesque night + the Ivy, fortnight of fun with my sister (Sydney sights, Blue Mountains, Future music festival), Fraser Island with my sis (rainforest, lakes, camping).
Amazing 8 months in Sydney, so I have decided to stay! As much I miss my family, friends and job dearly, one year is just not enough! So now I have started my 3 months regional work to extend my visa.
I am living on a pub in Lue, which is close to Mudgee, NSW. It really is in the middle of nowhere! The closest town is not reachable without transport, which is a scary but liberating feeling! Ben and Brit brought me down on Saturday when I met the owners, staff and some locals. We had dinner, drinks and played darts. Everyone is lovely here! I also have my own bedroom (luxury for me!) and was visited by the Easter bunny on my first night:)))
On my first day, Lucas, Warren and I had a huge brekkie and got to work on a bit of cleaning around the pub and guesthouse. In the afternoon, we 'helped' to shear a sheep and then chilled out at the pub. Watched 'Burlesque', loved it! Yesterday was much the same, but I did manage to start my day with a country run. It was a beautiful day and we also managed a bit of sunbathing in the afternoon.
I think I could get used to life here, I feel so relaxed!
More updates to come, much love to you all xxx

joe Ferreira Great news Jo! Hope you continue to enjoy it. Just a quick something I want to run by you. I want to buy airfares to Porugal early this year because the prices are just silly if I do what I usually do and leave it to the last minute. We have basically two windows: 17th to 27th July (we have to be back in UK on the 28th) and 30th July to 10th Aug with a day or so flexibility either side. So the question is this - is the late July option too tight for you insofar as it gives you only a day or so with your mum before the Portugal jaunt? Obviously you've got time after the holiday and before you go back but if your not comfortable, let me know. In the meantime, take it easy. Much love, XXX
Briony Edwards We are in the PPA Room at work, its raining and we are having to do horrible planning. JEALOUS?! I bet you are! Love, Briony and Sarah xxxxxx
