Wow, I've been really lazy with updating this thing! Sorry! Anyway....here's a basic rundown on what I've been up to the past week and a bit!
13/1/10
Ok, so I can’t really remember at all what I did on the 13th! I just worked and did lots of drama and stuff. The Year 12s are starting to do monologues and duologues so I was able to help them search around for stuff to do. Most of the stuff that I recommended though was just stuff that we’d done in class or monologues that people from our school have done in the past few years! The highlight of my day though was definitely CCF. We had NO idea what we were supposed to wear cos we had been given so much kit and we had had no idea what was supposed to go with what! Nevertheless, we got dressed and giggled ourselves silly as we walked up to the school. It was so intimidating walking up the drive cos the three sections (army, navy and RAF (the air force)) were all standing at attention in huge lines. We must’ve looked like such noobs! Ah well. It was really cool watching them as they all did their march pasts and then we all got split off to do our different activities for the day. The navy was doing .22 rifle shooting and I have to say, it was SO MUCH FUN! And I managed to group my shots all together which apparently is pretty good. ha, I had no idea what I was doing! I was also going to go and have a run with the Framlingham Finches netball team tonight but didn’t end up going… I will another time I swear! Joe (PE teacher at school) took me and Nick to the cinema at Ipswich as well tonight! Joe’s a really good guy and it’s so good to have young teachers at the school! Plus, it was soooooo good to get out of Fram. We saw Sherlock Holmes which was soooooooooooooo good and I totally recommend it to everyone!

Another average day. Drama and lots of spare time bla
15/1/10 - 17/1/10
Ok, so what happened this weekend… Well, we basically had the weekend off. I had to be here to coach netball on Saturday (the 16th) which sucked cos it meant I couldn’t go anywhere! Amy headed off to Cambridge to visit a friend for the weekend and Nick went to London so I was pretty much here by myself! Luckily, Kate rescued me and took me into Ipswich on Friday to go shopping! The shops there are soooo cool. There are so many of them! The best way to describe it is that it is like Manly Corso x 5 ! I bought sooo much stuff (probably spent way too much! The exchange rate is so deceiving. Eg. 10pounds sounds not much but them BAM it’s actually $20!!). Leather jacket, coat jacket, computer mic, woollen dress, leather gloves… etc. But it’s really cool there. H&M was definitely my favourite shop! SOOOOO much stuff and SO cheap (relatively!). Slept at Kate’s on Friday night which was really good. Emily, her 10yr old daughter, is sooo cute! Saturday, didn’t do much. Just coached netball which was cold – it was outside! Umpired a few games as well. Saturday night, the Brandeston gappies came around. We watched “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” and ate pizza. It was really good to hang with people who I have lots in common with! Aussies really do have the same sense of humour!! And all 3 of us talked about how much we missed home. It was good cos we are all in the same boat and all feel exactly the same at the moment! Sunday morning we were sooooo excited cos the sun was out! We walked over to the castle and went by St Micheal’s Church on the way and had a look there for the first time. I love English history…it’s so much more interesting than Australian! Some old guy adopted us and showed us around the church and told us about all of its history which was actually really interesting! We then headed to the castle which was extremely cool. Got to walk around the top of it which has a beautiful view. Definitely worth going to and taking people to when they come and visit! We also spotted our first bit of eye candy today - the gappy from Kent College. But we didn't talk to him haha. And he wasn't British - sorry girls :P
18/1/10-19/1/10
I was sick these two days. Bleh not fun. Had crazy head spins and nausea but luckily Amy looked after me! And Kate dropped some stff around as well which was really nice of her :) Surrogate mother!
20/1/10
Another ordinary day. Was 100% better though so that was good. Had CCF this afternoon and the Royal Navy gave a presentation which was really cool and it made me want to join the navy! haha.
21/1/10
Boring day. Nothing much happened. Coached netball. Woopdee doo
22/2/10
Day off!! YAY. Amy and I slept in almost til midday (slash I skyped people and just sat in my bed glued to my computer ha) and then we spent the rest of the day waking around Fram looking in all the shops. They're really cute! Lot's of little nick-nacky shops and we had THE BEST hot chocolates IN THE WORLD in a little cafe called "The Dancing Goat" right in the middle of town. Sooooooooo good you have no idea! We came back just before 5pm as we have to do a pool lifeguarding course at the school. It was actually lots of fun (there are 2 girls from Thomas Mills who do it with us - they're in 6th form and both really nice) and Amy and I did a few more laps after it was over. it was soooo good to go for a swim!
23/1/10
Had a lazy morning again then coached a training for my netball team before umpiring some of the games for the seniors. Here, the umpires umpire AND score at the same time and it completely trips me out! Totally can't get used to it haha. And I don't think they understand me half the time! Damn accents. Nick's friend, Keira, is over at the moment for a few days so Nick cooked dinner which was sooo good. Later, Amy and I joined the housemaster from Stradbroke when he took some of the boys into Ipswich to see Avatar! Such a bizarre but amazing movie! The trip home was soo funny as some of the boys had seen a different movie and then went out afterwards so it was hilarious listening to their drunken rambling and singing!

Today, we joined in on a trip to Southwold that one of the teachers had organised for a few boarders who wanted to go. Southwold is a little seaside town and it's about a 35min drive from Fram. But seriously, it is SUCH a cute place! And has some absolutely fantastic shops (Mum, you'd love them!). The Pier is super long and old and the beach has all the little beach huts on it!! They are adorable and I want one so badly! (I wanna adopt one lol. ..... hahaha). Amy and I had fish and chips in a little shop on the high street (the street with all the shops - that's what these streets are called in England. so cute!) and the serving was MASSIVE but it was good to eat some fish! Wandered around a bit more and had a look at some of the old canons and the beautiful, old holiday houses on the headland!
Anyway, so that's what I've been up to! Just got back from Southwold and will go up to the dining hall soon for dinner. Might go to the gym if I'm feeling particularly energetic tonight to work off the Heathrow Injection!!
Missing you all lots xxx
