Today was a good day again. I skyped with Mum this morning which made me a liiiiiitle bit homesick cos I saw them all just sitting around watching TV together! I miss that a lot and I think I took everything for granted at home when I was there!! Had normal classes today except for when I had to supervise a student between his exams cos he had an exam clash. I had to sit with him at lunch too and cos there were no spots at the staff table, we had to sit on an empty table behind the staff and everyone kept laughing…it was sooooo awkward! But he was a nice guy (Morgan) so that was good. We’re not allowed to be alone with kids at the moment cos our CRB checks haven’t come through yet so it was a bit of a pain cos we couldn’t go anywhere without another teacher! Drama was good fun today cos they’ve started doing prac stuff. This evening, I went to Victoria House for the first time! (The girls' boarding house I’m attached too). All the girls are so so so sooooo nice and so much fun and are so happy for me to be there cos they haven’t had a gappy in there before! Cath Drummond, the housemistress, is really nice too (and has a 6 month old boy called Felix who is so cute!) and gave me a big talk on how to not get too close to the girls and stuff! And they have to call me Ms Grosser which is REALLY weird and I don’t like it at all! (But they call me Jessie when there are no teachers around!). Later on, Amy and I got so hungry at about 10pm so we decided to order pizza but the driver got lost and couldn’t find us so we had to stand on the road in the freezing cold to wave him down! After filling our tummies with some delicious food from Pizza & Grill, our new favourite place, I got to skye a few people which was good again. Oh! I found out today that we don’t have to work this Sunday and then we were told Saturday games would be cancelled so I got sooooo excited because it meant I’d have 3 days off so Amy and I planned to go into London and I was going to go and stay with Lea and Kate! I called them and everything and it was sooo nice to here familiar voices. I so desperately want to be around familiar faces! But anyway, now I’ve found out that netball is NOT going to be cancelled so my plans have been crushed. Hmph.
