Day 1
Were all really tired this morning, we didn't sleep much last night due to the heat and the fact this is all a little bit scarey!
We stepped out of the hostel and I nearly got ran over by a bike which was a good start. The place is filthy dirty the streets and side alleys are made up of rubble, there is rubbish and mud everywhere. We are staying near the main bazar whcih means there is loads of cool stuff to see, it's just like I imagined loads of stalls with spices etc, very cliche.
But then we went into a 'tourist' office, which turned out not to be an official one, so then we went to the train station but the train toursit office had collapsed so then we got sent somewhere else then back to the original office that had fallen down, then 3 rickshaw rides later in 35 degrees we made it to the govt tourist office who saved the day, smiles all round again now.
So we have a guide for the rest of our trip in India who is going to look after us, driving us around and generally saving us from all nasty things, his name is Deepak and he will be our new BFF.
So we finally did some sight seeing, the red fort was pretty cool, but to be honest the best sight seeing is just looking around as your driving down the street on the back of cycle rickshaw
Off to Agra tomorrow Taj Mahal here we come, won't be sad to leave Dehli, things can only get better!

Work Dad Well done Deeps. He sounds like a good egg! Remember...don't bite your nails!! I survived my trip to Munich. Teresa had almost finished her 'pint' in the Hofbrauhaus before she realised it was a litre! I would say look after yourself but that's Deeps' job.
Work Dad It might have been worse, you could have started in Christchurch! Apparently that looks like Delhi now!
