Another early morning with another early morning hike. This time we were trying to climb Ella rock. It was frustrating as I was feeling very sick and not in the mood to hike but it was our last day in Ella so I persisted. We walked for 20 minutes down the hill from lucky star along the train tracks keeping our eye out for trains. We then found a local who pointed us in the direction of Ella Rock. He ended up guiding us along the hike. The scenery was stunning and the walk was pretty tiring. Well at least it felt tiring as I wasn't feeling well and had lots of aches and no energy. It didn't take us too long only about an hour and a half. He took us to the other side of the rock which I believed had a better view and we got to see a rock temple. We walked over the other side about 10 minutes to Ella Rock. We had a mini picnic enjoying the view whilst eating some crackers fruit and drank lots of water. We started the descent which was difficult due to the slippery rocks and pathways. We managed to climb down without slipping too much. When we had made it down we walked through fields of vegetables including cabbage, beans, avocados and more. We crossed a bridge and saw a small water hole and a waterfall. We said goodbye to our guide 1,000rs each then walked to the main road to walk to lucky star. Although we were walking on the flat road I was so exhausted by this point that I physically could not wait to get back to our accommodation. We made it and I was so happy. For the rest of the afternoon I napped and enjoyed chilling at the accommodation and also enjoying the views. Late in the afternoon I met up with Claire and Bianca and enjoyed a lassie and some lemonade with some food. It was the first place that I had found with lemonade as I had been craving the bubbles to make me feel better. We learnt that due to the floods and landslides Sprite/ cola were unable to be delivered so stocks were low. I hung out for a bit but came back for an early night in the hope I would feel better in the morning. It was strange the power kept continuously turning on and off all night. It would have happened at least 10 times.
