... But our suitcases didn't!
We had a lovely breakfast in our 5* hotel including a fry up, waffles, smoothies and smoked salmon! No further problems at the airport... UNTIL we were told just before we boarded the plane that our suitcases would not be joining us (we knew it was too good to be true!). We prepared for our 11 hour flight. Lucy played pokemon while Jess watched Monseters Inc, reliving our childhoods.
When we landed we were told to not even bother looking on the carousel for our cases and went to speak to a cute Thai lady about their whereabouts. Luckily we were told they should be with us later today and should be delivered to our hostel (should being the operative word!). We spent ages looking for our 'real gap' sign but eventually found it and met a few of the other girls before getting our transfer to our hostel on Khaosan Road.
We were pleasantly suprised by our room and then went in search of a McDonalds (very cultural) but ended up with a cheese toastie and chips nearby. We were offered an hours tuktuk ride for 10p to which we politely declined. As we had had about 30 mins sleep between us on the plane, we had a 6 hour 'nap'. We're now waiting (hoping) for our cases to be delivered before we head out to explore Bangkok with the group tonight.
