We left rainy Sangkhlaburi and headed for the party island of Koh Phagnan, wahooooooo. On Sunday, we visited Dream House orphanage that is funded by our tour company. We were welcomed by a lovely Filipino woman called Vic who singled-handedly runs the orphanage for Burmese children whose parents can't afford to keep them. We headed to Sangkhlaburi on Saturday morning, stopping at Hellfire Pass on our way. The Hellfire Pass is a railway cutting on the former "Death Railway" in Thailand which was built with forced labour during the Second World War, by prisoners of war. Today we went to the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi. It was incredible. Apparently, they feed the tigers in the morning and exercise them so much that you are able to stroke them and walk with them. We managed to get some really good photos with them. As it was in a temple, you have to cover your shoulders and ankles (massive pain for us!).
