Disaster! Our flight from Manchester was delayed due to bad weather but we still thought we would make our connection to Bangkok... we were wrong. We were told that we would miss the flight and would have to be put up in a hotel. We joined the back of a 2 hour queue for customer services, but luckily we were entertained as we waited by an farting Indian grandad and various Thai grannies. When we finally got to the desk we sorted out our flight for the next day and were put up in a posh 5* hotel for the night, complete with spa and zen garden (too posh for us). We were offered £10 each to spend at M&S so made full use of this in case we couldnt get food at the hotel. We then tried to get our suitcases for the night but failed miserably and instead were offered an excellent overnight kit consisting of a toothbrush, non-minty toothpaste, a deodorant stick and a sexy XL pyjama top! After we had eaten all our food from M&S, we checked into the hotel who told us the restaurant was still open (result!). We dined in the "gourmet restaurant with French influences" demolishing a 3 course meal at 1am! We then went back to our room to watch corrie before bed. Not a total disaster, we were very happy we had a story to write on our blog!
