Back in Mendoza, Argentina. Customs at 1am, high up in the dark and cold Andes was so embarrassing! Argentine customs randomly select suitcases to check, and they asked for mine! So, in front of everyone I had to open my bags with all my worn, dirty, smelly, creased up clothes, underwear, socks and a damp and smelly beach towel and loads of rubbish and junk...god! The back packer life style!
But amazing night time drive, you could see the high Andes silhouette across the darks skies, and at 6000+ km above sea level in the uninhabited Andes chain (which divides Argie and Chile) the stars are incredible. I can´t even begin to describe the sheer amount and brightness of them. Beautiful.
I wasn´t sure whether to leave Chile or spend more time there, but I decided to come back to spend a few days in Mendoza (somethinG I havent done in nearly a month!)...Later this week I´m going to escape the sheer heat of this Town (35-38 degrees!!!!). Its the exact opposite of the UK at the moment, I´m in vest, sandals and swim shorts constantly sweating! Im going to head to deep south Patagonia to see the glaciers, ice fields and the antarctica! Just a change of scenery from deserts and jungles I´ve seen over the past few months!
