Hey You Lot
Been on a drive and a half the last few days, we went to a place called Thames on the peninsular and went down an old gold mine which was good, Jay got talking to the ''gold geek'' showing us around and that was it we were there for another half hour after the tour, think Jay was hoping on stricking lucky. Travel up passed Corimandel Town and had lunch on a well nice beach water was bright blue and loads of little islands around. Then on to a place called Cathedral Cove and went snorkelling, had to dress top to toe in a wet suit skull-cap and everything the water was that cold but so worth it we got to see starfish, loads of big fish a few big stingray which were good to watch but Nat was so scared to be near for the obvious reasons and some seriously massive cray-fish, that wouldn't even fit into Coxy's pots. Stayed the nite in a surf club carpark with another camper of two girls with the same idea as us trying to save money. Sunday morning started our long drive across to the Watimo Caves, but got slightly distracted by the "Speedyway Signs" before i knew it Jay had done a U turn (We've been doing a lot of these, Holiday makers hey) and we were there paying in to the Speedway ground. It was brilliant all types of cars and buggys and a lot of contact races and a clown(KACY) riding around on a quad one-footed doing dougnuts everywhere. Then it was on to the Caves which were well good thousands of glow worms everywhere.
Got to Rotorua late yesterday nite rolling in to town with our van chugging along, found a campsite and Jay started stripping things down (OH DEAR) bought a new fuel fillter and cleaned up the carb so hopefully it was just that. Been wondering around the town today its really big and full of stuff to do just a bit smelly coz of all the sulphur springs here.
Hope everyone is well and hope the weather is not to cold for you (ha ha) Speak to you soon. x x
