Hey Jersey Beans
Hope everyone has had a cool (cold) Christmas back at home..... Ours was definately a bit different this year, sat in the sun eating our roast which we managed to cook (well Jay cooked of course) even had Christmas pud and custard was so good... the rest of the day we spent drinking and playing Uno very important because the losser had to do the washing up, the guys in the site next to us we're pissing themselves when Nat stormed off in a strop ha ha. The guys next to us are from Devon dead sound BMX's tattooed and hard on the booze have had a laught with them.
Queenstown has been such a cool place to stay in, its a small town but got loads going on, the bars and clubs all have outdoor seating dead chilled and relaxed and everyone is a traveller here. Have spent a bit of money doing some really cool stuff, we decided to go on the luges again Jay thinking it was a great idea to save $20 on the gondla so we walked up this stupidly steep track which took well over an hour (Nat not impressed in flip flops) but the luges were great fun. Such an amazing view of Queenstown so we decided to see it a bit better and went Para-gliding was really good lasted for about 10 mins and guys did loads of tricks spinning and falling fast, we got some cool pics of that. Next Big adventure was Jay and the Nevis (134meter bungy biggest in N Z) started the journey on a bus with 20 others for a 40 minute ride into the middle of no-where to this hugh gorge, that was scary enough lets just say the drivers arn't scared over here. Put on safety harneses and went across to the gondla hanging 500 feet across the gorge, was cool everyone goes out there the same time music blasting and glass floor to look through, not for the faint hearted. The Jump was well cool Jay is now threatening to go to South Africa to do the biggest one in the world. We also went Jet-Boating on the Shot-Over river going stupid speeds well close to the rocks and doing 360 spins every so often, Barret you thought you could drive..........
Went on a mad night out last nite checked out a few of the bars before New Years Eve, met up with a group of people who took us to some well posh bars and ended the nite in true British style with a kebab, which unfortunatly for Nat ended coming back up.... Not good. Staying at a Mad Camp site set up especially for youngsters even have to pay a $50 deposit to get a wrist band and if you cause trouble you get it taken off and lose the money, we didn't really understand why untill we got there... Oh Dear. It set up like one big festival, everyone drinking tunes on flat out and tents everywhere even the toilets were done over by the first nite. We were just getting settled, chairs out beer in hand when suddenly 9 cop cars fly in to break up a brawl between a few lad was classic entertainment.....
Just planning to go to a few bars on New Year they got fireworks on the waterfrount and a few live bands plays , we been told it the busiest place in N Z for New Year should be a good one. Hope Everyone has a cool nite, Speak to you in the New Year.
