Hey Guys sorry its taken so long for an up date been enjoying the sun while its out so haven't wanted to sit on a computer typing away. Hope everyone had a great New Years our's was class very funny to think we were celebrating 12 hours before you guys. We spent the nite in Queenstown went to a nice bar, sitting there having a drink when out of the blue Katherine Clarke turns up with her mate was so funny we couldn't believe we bumped into each other, (just proves your never far away from another jersey bean) just spent the rest of the nite going around together and watched the fireworks and went to some cool bars around town. Gutted when we had to leave Queenstown was a really cool town, we travelled back to Dunedin then followed the East Coast back up. We've passed through some lovely little town one being Oamaru we went mussel picking and Jay ended up cooking mules a la creme in the back of the van classy travellers hey.... we went to see more penguins here and got some really good pictures of them so cute woddling up the beach.
We headed in land from here to Mackenzie Country is really inland and so gets hot was 28c the day we were travelling around in the van, stopped at a salmon farm we found and bought a piece big enough to feed a family of 4, we somehow managed to get through it was really tasty cooked to perfection by Jay of course. We got some amazing pictures of Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo and scenery around we've both turned snap happy on this holiday the camera's are out at every opportunity ha ha. Went to Kaikoura on Sunday spent the nite there having fish and chips by the sea then went on a Whale Watching trip at 6.30 the next morning. The trip was amazing apart from the journey out to sea very choppy with swells of up to a meter that probably why Nat spent the time with her head inside a sick bag, but so worth every minute of it we got to see hugh Sperm Whales, hector dolphins playing aroung by the boat, and wandering Albatross these hugh sea bird but the highlight has got to be the Killer Whales (Orca). They were so un-beliveable 3 big males were cruzing by the boat for about 3 minutes going in and out of the water was such a cool sight (real live Free Willy's).
We spent yeaterday driving back up the coast stopped and bought a cray-fish for our lunch ment to be a real speciality over here but just tastes like crab to me and Jay, were in Picton at the moment and hoping to explore around the Marlborough Sounds the next few days then on to Nelson.
Speak to you all soon Jay and Nat x
