Of course the places that look fantastic in photographs are near impossible to match yourself when you're there. A silly little sony camera doest help, but usually it doesnt even look similar. I suppose some one should invent "Photoshop Glasses" so everything looks as good as after its been photoshopped when you see it. That would make a perfect world.
So I was looking forward to Copenhagen because of all the nice photos i'd seen of it. But its a jolly nice place if I do say so. A castle for this, a palace for that. And a teeny tiny strip of buildings, boats and canal where everyone tries their luck at real photography. Nyhavn.
New Harbour. Its the place to eat, drink, walk, be. I took a canal cruise - which isnt compareable at all to Amsterdam, and I wasnt even on a canal in Amsterdam, but I can just tell. Interesting enough anyway.
Church of our Saviour is a nice place to get an ariel view of the city at the same time as tingles to your toes, since the last hundred or so stairs of the 400 in total are on the outside of the spire. The rest of the spire is a maze of solid oak which tists, winds and narrows back to the bottom, passed four huge bells - so block your ears!
Then I finished up the day with a snack in the square and entertinment provided b some busking ameican indians and some green and blue pidgeons. Ive no idea how they became multicoloured, about 7 resident birds in the square were blue, green or yellow. So I spent a good half hour siting it the evening sun observing passer by-ers reaction to alien coloured birds.
