Lucca - we park our cars at the train station walk to meet our guide & start walking to pick up our bicycles as today we are doing a 3 hour bike tour, sounds funny I know but the boys are so excited & so are we, it's a warm day but Lucca is surrounded by massive walls & is 4.2 kms in length , we start riding & singing ( riding along on a push bike honey ) etc etc......our guide today is Wanda but pronounced Valda she speaks great English & she is on her bike also,,,, we look so funny as there are 8 of us, but everyone here in Lucca either walks or rides their bikes.....it's very pretty & also has heaps of history....where there was once a colosseum, where the guards used to stand hundreds of years ago to defend the town against the neighbours back in the day.... We have a lovely turkey salad lunch which is really really nice as pasta gets a bit heavy ... We make our way back to the car buying some clothes as we go...on the way home we call into the supermarket & we are home by 4 pm to have a good swim & cook a beautiful baked dinner in beautiful Tuscany...!!!!
