Only a short drive from Derby to Cape Keraudren. For those of you that don't know Cape Keraudren is about 180km north of Port Hedland near Pardoo. It's a nature reserve in the Shire of East Pilbara and is beautiful to say the least.
It is controlled by the shire with Rangers on site to restrict the number of campers and they do close the park once full. With a strict 12m between camp site policy it was a beautiful spot to camp.
As the park was pretty full when we got there we were only allowed in as we had a chemical toilet (all camp grounds with toilets were full) so we were offered a camp site right smack on the beach :) no complaints here with only one other group camping down there (an elderly couple) we were in 7th heaven...
All set up.. Dad, Pop and the boys set of to fishing and Mum sneaks in what I believe is possibly my first day time nap in the entire trip!!
A couple of days spent on the beach was awesome.. camp fires at night, damper in the pot (with our new secret recipe) and lazy sleep ins just because we could ...
Next stop.. wait for it... breath deep... Roebourne!!!!!!!!!!!
