So first full day in CM. I was looking at hiring a motorbike to take up Doi Suthep (there's a temple at the top and stunning views) however the clouds were starting to get dark and about to rain (probably wouldn't see anything up there) and so I bailed on that idea. Bumped into the other three and they were heading to stroke tigers. I wasn't too fussed as it rather cruel but thought it'll be out of the rain..,....it wasn't and soon as we arrived it chucked it down for about 2 hrs. Eventually went in, I went with the little babies (2 month). They were just sleeping and hopefully not doped (which we suspected with the bigger ones). After this michel 'longger' urbanowski (I think he's nicknamed longer as hes not far off 7ft) got the taxi man to go to a snake farm. (yeah, more incarcerated animals!) even though they were prodding and getting venomous animals angry it was rather entertaining and they had a lot of space in their cages. After the cobra show we had a look around. I'm looking in a tank with a hand written note saying scorpions, next thing I know is a hand grabbing a load of them and the guys putting them on my front, I don't think he understood my anxious fretting question of DO THEY HAVE STING?! Another group of people had just wandered in to see the spectacle of a rather freaked out jim wondering what one does when there are 10 scorpions on you and the threat to your wellbeing is unknown. They were fine and after a min I calmed down enough for the photo opp. Well....I am a Scorpio after all.
The taxi driver then decided to pull in to a shooting range (I'm guessing he gets commission for dragging people in). After seeing what humans can do to animals I didnt really want to experience what humans can do to humans. Rob and chris went for it so me a Long watched. Sooooo loud! This was the last place on the 'boys day out'. Had some food then headed to the night market - its really big, alot of similar stalls but haggling is fun, fake ray bans - £2- hell yeah! Watched some muay Thai - brutal. Ate some bbq'd pork liver....interesting. Heading back and all of the girls in the bars try to get you in, rob was man handled by a lady boy and we wandered into a go-go bar, I didn't realise until I looked up. Had a quick beer as we were heading out for a 3 day trek next day. Went to get tuk tuk - Now, this is where it goes a little wrong for me.....
