Yep they messed that dressing up yesterday. Because they didnt change the dressing it was stuck to the newly formed skin and when I removed the gauze......let's just say some of that new skin ended up in the bin along with the dressing, I think you get the idea. Went to the hospital this morning, thought I would see if I had been doing a good job with dressing it myself. They confirmed it was good, this was confirmed further when they changed the dressings this morning - they didn't change the main gauze which sits on my skin and made a mess of the bandages. Didn't do much during the day, still resting that foot. I have tried to improvise a foot shower cap so I can get clean with ease. Previously my technique involved wrapping my footsies in a towel, standing about a metre away from main water impact area and bending under- mostly done with a flannel and bit of an achey back.
