Ok, so it was nice in Cochin, but it wasn't heaven. We know as now we are there, not literally, don't worry, but we have arrived at the most lovely spa hotel of forest cottages up in the hills surrounded by amazing plantations, and with it's own gardens of tea, coffee, cocoa, coconuts, cardomun, pineapples, yams, tapioca, mango, vanilla, pepper and something called a Jack tree with an amazingly large mishappen fruit.
Tomorrow we are all having a massage, although they specialize iin Ayerverdic massage we have chosen different ones this time as the one we had in Agra Paul described as his most gay experience, and I had to agree really.
There is a pool here and the most picturesque and delicious restaurant. We are back on curry and they are very different down here, but they have fixed ideas about things and advise either to not have rice when we want some or to have some when we want bread.
They even have beer, although our driver advised us they wouldn't do he and Paul went and stood in a queue of really dodgy characters to buy dome from the only authorised alcohol dealer in town.
We went to a traditional martial arts display which was amazing with warriors fighting and jumping through fire.
Back to Cochin for a minute we watched the fishermen dipping the Chinese fishing nets this morning and bringing them up full of fish. They are incredibly clever devices and work very effectively.
Anyway, up early for a trek into the jungle, pick up 7am. Must sleep.

Mary Nice trousers Paul. I like the way the entry comes up as Today. Travelling is today, and then yesterday and tomorrow. If only every day could be today in Cochin! Eloisa we've got a Christmas tree stand which you can use - let us know. Cheers
Mary ...oops, .actually I meant in Kerala (should be a definition of heaven in the dictionary)
