After a long flight and a rainy night in KL, I finally landed in Cambodia!!! And as soon as my feet touched the ground I forgot I was tired and I am seriously excited.
Tip: Get your Visa online beforehand. Just makes your life easier and gets you out of the airport faster.
As arranged by the tour organizers, I was picked up from the airport and made feel most welcome. No hassle experience. It was nice to see people smiling and being genuinely happy to see you visiting their country. Cambodia does not get as many tourists as its neighbouring countries; therefore locals are still very proud to know you are interested.
November in Cambodia is the time when the rain had just stopped and before the heat seriously kicked in. Water levels are still high and I could not believe how much of the land is flooded when I looked out of the window from the plane. However, at this time everything is beautifully green and very tropical and I could not wait to see the camp and experience all it has to offer!

Silvia You can also get a visa from a fake boarder control on Thai side. It comes with plastic police tags, plastic guns and etc. Unfortunately it is 2 times more expensive :D
