Before I started packing for my trip, I had committed to organize a fundraising event to raise money for Planeterra.

After a lot of planning, choosing of dates, setting teams and searching for equipment it finally happened on the 30th of August 2012! Our own STA Travel 5-a-side football tournament took place in the sports field of Hyde Park and was blessed by a lovely evening sunshine (after weeks of rain!).

Everyone was welcome to join - those who play regularly, support regularly, and those who have no idea what football is - no skills required! Six teams (four from London head office and two from London branches) have battled it out for specifically engraved trophy and general acknowledgement. After a lot of skilful (or some not so much) tackles, saves and goals the winning team was soaked with champagne (well kind of champagne) and the respects were paid.

We had a great time and raised £96 for Planeterra.
