Today's photo shows the tidal lagoon in front of the park. It was created when the breakwater/seawall locally known as the V wall was built.
Early start- fishing from before sunrise. Saw lots of whales but did not catch a minow.
Despite forecast of a hot day headed back to the BLING beaches to hit what I predicted might be some hot spots.
Hot was right! 31 degrees!! Had a moderately successful session but the sweat poured out of me and I got a little dehydrated.
Cleaned up and headed to the V Wall Tavern to rehydrate and have lunch.
Later walked to the tackle shop and bought a new surf rod combo (inspired by Gray) and lure storage box.
Every evening and early morning (from 0300) I hear a bird hooting nearby. This evening discovered it is not one but 3!!! Tawny Frogmouths in the tree beside us. Will try to get a photo in the morning for tomorrows post.

Gray Windy up here, tides best on Monday pm to give the new combo a go. Some good footy to watch this weekend with a cold black.
Wayne Windy down here this morning too. Forecast for 50ks per hour tomorrow mostly from the west north west. Grays right about the footy but I am not sure about the CB. OT at the ATO again tomorrow but I think my match is on Sunday so that should work out well. A&R putting the boat on the slip Monday. Was that 3 tawny frogmouths or 3 tawny grogmouths!!:):):)
