This mornings walk to the headland was rewarded with the sighting of lots of whales but well out to sea and only spouting not leaping like yesterday. Gray picked us up at 1000. To Kingscliff for coffee and a spell of fossiking (one mobile phone and one gold ear ring-junk). Lunch and shopping then back to Hastings Point. Dawn walk to the headland - no whales. Gayle off to Tweed Heads with Pam and Lance and Gray and Joan to see Irish crooner John McNally. I walked to Norries Head (today's photo) and watched the surfers for an hour. Fossiked until lunch time (ante-pasto and prawns). Short siesta, then to the bridge to go fishing. 0630 walk to headland - no whales. Light brekkie then off on a bike ride to Kingscliff. Excellent cycle paths and perfect riding conditions. Back by 1100. Gray picked us up at noon to go for a cruise to Murwillumbah via Condong. Lunch at RSL then very scenic route home via Stokers Siding and Mooball. Back at 1600. Up at 0445 to walk to the headland all dressed and toileted then realized I was up an hour too early!! Back to bed and slept in till 0700 so missed the sunrise. Gayle off shopping at Tweed Heads with Pam and Joan. I walked to Cabarita via the beach and back via the cycle path. Big southerly swell running as can be seen from today's photo. Spent the afternoon fossiking for very little return. Cycling to Gray and Joans for BBQ dinner this evening.
