Happy Easter people! Well, it's not quite easter yet but I thought we should say it just in case we don't update the log between now and then. Hope that you all stuff yourselves with loads of chocolate eggs, although not too many as it could end with constipation!

Anyway, enough of that bawdry talk! We've been hard at work here on the Gold Coast, no more lounging around on the beaches for us at the moment, well at least until our day off tomorrow anyway! Work at Wet and Wild has been pretty fun so far and both Kerry and I have received Splash moment cards from one of the supervisors from head office who go around testing how the guests are being served by the staff so we're in with a chance of winning a bottle of wine or something if we're lucky. It's a pretty fun environment to work in as the guests are all having a good time there so you don't get many moany customers. The only hard part is at the end of a shift when all the drinks dispensers and ice cream cabinets have to be cleaned out, not fun!

We both did our first night working at Australian Outback Spectacular last night and it went smoother than expected! We were both pretty much thrown at the deep end as they were so short staffed. Initially we were serving guests drinks as they watched the show and then halfway through was our turn to be part of the show as all the stewards (that's us) from each team have a race to see who can get the meals out the quickest. There is a yellow team on one side and a red side on the other and between both teams over 1000 meals are served in record time! It's a pretty good team feeling working there and at the end we all have to stand at the exit to wave all the guests goodbye. It really feels like we're part of the show! It's pretty hard work though as the plates and drink jugs are extremely heavy and it's easy to see why a lot of the girls who work there go down a dress size within a few weeks of working there. We are working again tonight and then fortunately we have a full day off tomorrow before we work a double shift on Saturday at Wet and Wild and then AOS! We'll probably end up working until the end of next week and then say our goodbyes as we really have to start heading up to Cairns now.
