Good Morning friends & family, everyone always loves the weekend plus its hot & sunny here. Sorry I saw on TV its grim there. hence it was a good choice to stay on in Cusco. Must say it is either sunny here or raining there seems to be no inbetween which is great no grey days.
It is a party weekend here celebrating some saint that has been dead about 20 years which they parade around in an open glass coffin. Presume he is mummified or something they insist its him. Doing a tour of Peru !!
As you can see Paddington bear is in Peru & kindly spent Paddys day with us, we danced on tables had shots and all in all had a good time which was pretty painful the next day. As Im sure some of you where the same. By the way while I think of it Paddington is the person Im travelling through Brazil with so we might draw a bit of attention. Might have to get her to leave the suit behind, as its McCoys (restaurant) symbol. (Not sure if thats right explanation) but sure you no what I mean.
I have only one week left at my placements so that will be sad on Thursday saying goodbye to the children, have sort of warned them and they where upset then. Take a cake in maybe and have a party with them. Thought might make bracelets necklaces & maybe those windmills so they have something to remember me by. have put a few pictures of them on this site, not sure what the boys will want to do.
It was funny this morning walking up the road as i feel I live here so it will be sad to leave. Many things that you capture in your heart or mind that you cant explain. Just watching the people go about there everyday, cars continually hooting, they are something else to watch free for all on the roads. You have to really think before you step of the pavements. last night when I went back to my hostel a little boy about 8 asleep upright next to his mothers stall. Yet no matter how they live they belive in there faith & religion. If it rains and washes there homes away they are greatful as its a sign for the crops or something like that. Amazing the strenght and stability these people have, which I guess is the same in many other countries. As sad as it will be to leave I couldnt live here constantly.
Good news Machu Pichu is due to open again at the end of the month, so I am booked to go on the 30th, god willing,as i will have a job to look at it as a good sign after waiting 9weeks if it doesnt happen. I am missing one of by bestest friends big party by staying on, its not a party to be missed flower power my favourite time as well. So I am sad about that. Pity they havent invented speed of light for travel yet, talking about travel. !
My little girl has been going through much trauma over BA and the dispute, possibly loose her job. Very hard for the rest of the world to understand as they make it sound feeble in the media. But as I say you have to stand up to what you believe in not be trampled on by the likes of some Irish twat, who leaves the company at the end of summer. cant see him giving up his big pay cheque. Enough of that. But good luck to them all,
Off to a food fair now & then a little town called Chincherro for the afternoon, hopeing to go to a place called Arequipa for 3 days next weekend, but we will see.
How did the Rugby go, for those of you who celebrated in Paris, mixed feelings there no doubt but plenty of Champagne.
Keep safe, ciao,adois, bye. xx

Claire Hi Bobby your blogs are always great reading! Paris was fantastic - great city, great food, great hotel, great champers, now just getting over it all! I can imagine it is going to be a real wrench for you to say goodbye to those kids, but you just have to hold onto the fact that there will be other volunteers after you (but no doubt nobody quite like you:)! Amazing if you get to Machu Pichu, not at all jealous......
