Monday early evening in Cusco.
If I ever moan about the rain in UK again, just say to me Cusco. I have never seen so much rain, its either really hot or absoultly chucking it down, within seconds of being boiling. Last night I had a panick attack as I came home at midnight it had been raining for 7 hours up to this point I needed a boat to cross the road.
I literally stood for about 15 mins wondering how I was going to get across, when I put one foot in it was so strong I thought I would get swept away if I tryed.Fortunately a young peruvian came along on the otherside and helped me get across, fewwwwwwww,it was scary. I was soaked through, not a pretty site.
I had a great weekend went on a trip to the Sacred Valley on saturday, left at 9.00 back at 8pm. Whoah 11hour round trip. It was very interesting countryside was awesome, plus if I never get to Machu it doesnt matter as there are loads of Inca trails it just that is the one everyone hears about. Will upload pictures, but it will be facebook possibly later, one of the girls is going to try and help see if we can get them on this site. So hold tight if you not on facebook.
I have always said it, whatever country you go to that has a lot of history, that they where cleverer than what we are today, amazing to see what they completed.
Sunday I trundled of to the market in the afternoon to get vegetables as made a stir fry for four of us & fantastic fruit salad, 3 bottles of Vino and 3 dvds perfect Sunday, until home time. (See earlier)
This morning I went to the bakery, which was fun helped them with the dough as well as packing, really like it there. Looking forward to Wednesday when I go with them to deliver to the towns. Leave at 8.am back about 3ish so quite a journey.
I have been back to the orphanage this afternoon which I am going to in the afternoons this week, until I can go back to my little school next week. It has about 40 children, vey big area state run, even grow there on vegetables. But seems a little disorganised, you have to try and ignore all that as you will never put it to rights.
They dont want me to help with English, but show them how to make things, that they can make money from. !!!! Think it might be a long week else I will come back to UK with a new moneymaking idea.
Did think I could go along the seafront in the summer selling jellies, you no fund my next trip. Or take bucket of water and sell orange juice. Better than that get myself a little cart and sell hot corn cob that I think will work especially when its raining, plus it will keep me warm. Although mustnt forget got my heating allowance from the goverment to come home too. !!
Thought I might drop this in at this stage to see how many of you are listening, but I may go on travelling at the end of March on to Brazil, have been offered the oppourtunity so am seriously thinking about it. Not often you get chance to see these places. Have you heard of the Iguazu Falls, or the worlds largest salt flat ending in Rio. What do you think. Going to have to apologise to you Pat if I do that !!
Well my friends I left home a month ago, what a lot has happend & more to come. Hope you enjoy my pics later when I get them on.Possibly wont do another blog until the end of weekso dont worry. Nickys Birthday Wednesday so Feliz Cumpleaños darling have a great day, sorry not there but will have a drink for you of course.
Until the next time Adios Amigos.

Nikki C Nomad Nanny is off! What a fantastic opportunity to go to Brazil as well. You will regret not going if you don't do it. Sounds rather wet though with you. You won't want to hear about our brilliant sunshine here, Spring has arrived! Keep up the fantastic work you're doing. Everyone is very proud of you and friends are always asking how you're getting on. The boys send there love and are proud you're looking after the children xxxx
Jackie I echo what the girls have said, after travelling all that way you might as well take in as much as you can. I can't believe you are working at a disorganised school and not doing anything about it, we are the same can't usually keep our mouth shut.... The water sounds awful is it a knock on effect from the Chille earthquak do you think. Should be a really interesting day tomorrow going around the villages. Lol xx
Claire There is only one thing to say JFDI!!! I am sure you will work that one out! I cant believe you have been gone a whole month!!!
Col Hey Bobby go for it, Iguazu falls spectacular and so is the surrounding jungle and I have a mental picture of you salsaing along during Carnivale in Rio . Wow! Haven't been to Rio yet although Dale has a special relationship with the place, one of her ancestors was one of the founders, bit of French in there somewhere along the line. Keep the news coming. Luv
pete and bo Dta want us to sent you a lifejacket? (You have worn one recently afterall! lol). Brazil - we agree with everyone else - surprise, surprise - if you've got a chance - take it chic. Rio can be dodgy though, so do your homework maybe? Copa Cabana - Ariba Ariba !!
bo OMG - just started singing an annoying song over and over in my head (and out loud to Pete's annoyance!) It's all your fault.........................Her name was Lola. She was a showgirl......
