25th Jan ? Feb 17th
Â
Well back into Sydney, but it was good to see all the fellas again, as they were all still at Wake-up. Most of the week was spent catching up with them and going out for a few beers. We did manage to shoehorn a 6-a-side game of footie in between the lot of us, so that was good. No surprise to see that my team won again. Good stuff!!. I went to visit my Auntie Fay and cousin Lisa during the week which was good, I also got to meet my other cousin Vaughn who is lisa?s son. That of couse meant I spent most of the afternoon playing sports with him in the garden which was great.

On the 2nd Feb I took the coach up to pacific palms to meet up with Kev and Beck which I was really looking forward to. I got there about 7pm and had a couple of beers with them and Becks family who are kindly putting me up.It was good to see them all again. Next evening was George, Becks dads 60th so we had a party for them down at the local hall, and a few family and friends we had met at the wedding a couple of years ago were there which was great. While we there we spent our days fishing and lazing on the beach. Pete and Wayne, friends of Becks took me and Kev out spear fishing. Basically you snorkel round the reefs with spears looking for some big fish to catch. At one stage we were surrounded by big mackerel and Pete managed to spear 2 with one shot. Class. While we were out there we had to head to the shore pretty quickly as all the bait fish that were swimming around us suddenly disappeared. Pete said that?s because something very large was out there so it was a good idea to get clear of the area. I didn?t see anything thankfully, but kept my eyes peeled when we went back out. Good fun though.

I returned to Sydney on the 9th ,but it was sad to say goodbye to Kev and Beck as I won?t see them until I get back home, and Pacific Palms which is an amazing place.
Whilst in Sydney I booked my flight to Perth for the 17th Feb and as Steve and I were both going a few of the fellas decided to come to. So now there is 7 of us heading West. Steve, me, James, Craig, Jason, Nathan and Pete. It feels like we?re off on a lads holiday.
Just before I headed off to the airport I went and saw auntie Fay, lisa and Vaughn again which was good fun.
Â
Anyway, next time I write, I?ll be in Perth. Can?t wait.
