As I am here so early I decide that I will stay up and tackle the breakfast! I get in at 7.30 when it first opens and I must say there is a much better selection, and everything is hot. I fill up with noodles, bread, eggs and meat. After this it is back to the hostel where I have a little sleep.

I'm feeling pretty tired even after my sleep and the afternoon has just faded away. Yasmin comes to the hostel to join us for dinner. We was out, Alex, myself, Abdullah, Rodrigo from Chile, Ellias from France and Tom from Australia. We go to a restaurant in the old quarter, order up a feast, but somehow they get the order wrong. It's funny how they cope in this situation, they always ask if you will just take the wrong meal. It has happened a few times now, they bring the wrong dish and then just ask if you'll take it. We decide that it's ok and we just take it. Very different way of dealing with the situation than back at home. The food was good and the price very reasonable. After we head out for some bia hoi. Sitting in the street on our wee plastic chairs. As we are a large group we are welcomed with open arms at every corner that we go to. When we are sitting at one of these places the familiar noise of the police echoes through the streets, followed by the commotion of chair stacking and frantic dispersal from the street to the pavement. It's so funny that once the police are out of sight, all the chairs come back out again. Clearly the police know what is going on, but a blind eye is turned. Though tonight they get to some places an they actually remove some of the chairs from the street, confiscating them. I have also heard of police raids, where they go in to clubs and actually remove speakers. It appears that there is a curfew when it come to drinking, but the manner with which it is enforced appears to be somewhat haphazard!

After we have been to a few places I am starting to fade. I retire back to the hostel while the rest of the guys head on somewhere else. Fear how sensible I am.
