So today Miao wants to go back to the Sukumvit area that we were in last night as she is looking to buy some stuff because it is duty free here. Now when she said this I just thought that she was talking about clothes and stuff. Ohhh no! She want to go to LV, Gucci, Prada etc. I don't mind because I get to see another part of the city, not just the touristy part, so why not. Though I tell her that I am not going to be shopping all day. So we get in our taxi and head on our way. These shopping centres are pretty swish and when you go in to one of the designer stores there is someone there to open the door for you. All very fancy, not somewhere where I find myself too often. Ha. It is a different shopping experience when you get in to one of these places as well, I mean when Miao is trying on some shoes she is given a new pair of LV slips before a shoe horn, I am offered some water and get a nice comfortable seat. I'm not really too sure what all the fuss is about, just look like bags and shoes to me. I get the distinct feeling that Miao frequents these places on a regular basis, as she starts asking what month the collections were released, then tells me that it is last seasons line. Hmmmmm I see. We move from shop to shop, yet there appears to be nothing that she fancies, not that she is picky.

We stop in a Chinese restaurant for some lunch and I get some delicious dumplings and spicy sauce while Miao opts for the delicious soy milk and dough stick combo, my favourite! Some online research turns up another shopping centre to try, it is just up the road and we can use the sky train. We scale a couple of flights of stairs and are now high above the road. The train works on a similar system to other countries, you buy a ticket based on the number of stops and then you get a card that is punched on the way in and collected on the way out by a machine. A few stops down and we can enter the shopping centre from the station. Again, no joy for Miao and she says the prices are too high and not as cheap as she thought. At least there is a Boots here, so we head home with at least some purchase, albeit deodorant and toothpaste. Ha.

On the way back we stop of at an outside bar that has some live music. The beer is expensive but it is nice to just be sitting outside and listening to the band, who are playing English songs. We end up sitting here until we get hungry and then it is a taxi back. I think one of the things that I enjoy the most about my travelling is the amount of time that I can spend outside. Walking around, eating, having a few drinks. Outside all the time and it's great, much better than being cooped up inside. That is what I am going to miss the most I think.

We head down Ko Shan road for some good old street food. It really is so good, from noodles to BBQ, to fruit and of course, the tourist insects to eat. We head back to the same place for some cocktails and beers before heading back home.
