So it's Christmas Eve, doesn't feel like it. It's not cold, there aren't many Christmas trees and even though I hear the occasional Christmas song it doesn't do much to put me in the Christmas mood. It's just another day here. I head over to Starbucks to get a latte, and just watch the hustle and bustle go by. I do a bit of blog work and talk to a Chinese friend, Miao Miao, who is coming to Bangkok tomorrow. It is good because if she had not been coming I was going to move out of the hotel that I am in, and find a dorm. I would not want to be spending Christmas on my own in a hotel, ohh no. However as if stands, she is coming tomorrow and we are going to try and find somewhere where we can get a traditional Christmas dinner. I'm excited.

I message Jan, a German that I met back in Chengdu, he is studying here and said for me to give him a message when I get here. I had forgotten completely about it for the few days that I have been here, so I give him a message today. We arrange to meet later on for a few drinks and some street food. He is keen to go for some type of crazy party, but I quickly put that idea out of his head. I want to be fresh for tomorrow to enjoy my Christmas day. My favourite holiday time, I won't be spending it hung over.

Meet Jan at about 9 and we head to Ko Shan Road, just because the food is so good. We grab a few beers and head down the street. He's a pretty funny guy and we are having maximum banter. I think I am enjoying this social time because the past few days have been some what of a solo endeavour. It's good to get out and have a chat over a few cold ones. There are plenty of guys in the street selling some Christmas hats. You know that I'm all over that. Got me a nice one with flashing lights and everything. Nice. While we are heading sown the street he bumps in to another couple of guys that he had met previously in his travels, a couple of Dutch. We end up heading to this local club, where there are only Thai people, no westerners. We only stay for a short while as I am keen to not have a heavy night.
