Last nights train was longer than long, I think I probably only slept for a couple of hours. So a very grumpy group made their way off the train to a very rushed breakfast and then had an hour drive to the ferry. I managed to kick a small child off a large seat and get some sleep for a couple of hours on the ferry, then we had a 45 min transfer to the beach we'd be staying at for the next 2 days. It was worth the 19 hours of travel, this is my favourite beach so far. Our rooms are a minute from the beach, a quiet little cove with only a couple of bars/restaurants. The beach is lovely and clean, I've watched a man sweep the sand and flatten it for the last 2 days, I think he is fighting a losing battle. I've spent the days in the sun, reading, sleeping and making my white bits whiter. I know it may sound silly because I'm in paradise and everyone else is working but I've been a little homesick the last couple of days, maybe because Leanne left who knows but I'm sure I'll snap out of it.
On Wednesday we did a small hike to a viewpoint off the beach, they said it was short personally I've never sweated so much in my life and remember I don't actually enjoy this sort of thing. When we reached the top I was too scared to walk out onto the rock, it was way too skinny for me and my bad balance and waaaay too high. So was the view good, yes...was it worth it...probably not. On the way down I nearly fell a few times because I couldn't see, due the sweat dripping in my eyes and blinding me.
All our food and drinks came from the hotel, but it was good and the staff really nice. One night we had BBQ which was really good, I've never been so excited about a jacket potato before, really missing food like that. We had bonfire on the beach, some of the staff practiced their fire spinning/throwing skills and then the guitar came out. I enjoyed the Thai versions of Oasis, Bob Marley and Ronan Keating?!

Sal Ah, don't be homesick lovely. Nothing has changed here, the weathers crap, you'd only be bored and fed up if you were here
