After waiting around at the hotel for half an hour because people can't be on time and think it's ok to just rock up whenever they like and waste everyone else's holiday...we left for the pier.
We had a longtail boat for the day, first stop was poda Island for a bit of time on the beach and swimming. Then to chicken island for lunch, there was hardly any beach there because of the tide so it was a bit crowded. We stopped for snorkelling, I opted for sunbathing on the boat. We arrived on bamboo island around 3pm, it was packed with photo crazy tourists who also speak very loudly... I think they'd never seen sand before. We each had a little tent just set back off the beach, it wasn't quite on the beach and under lots of trees which means only one thing-spiders. We all went to the beach and wondered when everyone else would get off our island! Eventually they started to leave, the island was a much better place when it was quiet. A nice walk to watch the sunset before dinner on our own private island, not too shabby. We went on the beach with our torches to see all the crabs when it got dark, then played games. I was ready for bed by 7pm but I thought the longer I stay up the less time I have to spend in the spider tent. The outdoor shower was the worst I've ever seen, a little hose you had to hold yourself, no door and full of spiders and geckos, I didn't spend long in there but long enough to notice lots of toothbrushes just waiting for spiders to crawl all over them. After Leanne had inspected our tent for spiders we went to bed for the worst nights sleep yet, nobody will ever know how hot it was and don't think anyone got any sleep. Awake at 6 and quickly evacuated my tent after finding a spider, but I managed to watch the sunrise which was pretty nice. Everyone was pretty grumpy, I was just my usual self. Off we go to Railay!!
