I had a good time today, it was great to be out and about this morning exploring and then just chilling at home this arvo. Having got up and had some cereals and lounged around a bit first thing, we all (including Cecily's friend Boo who stayed last night) went to Maleny for brunch. So today was my first day off having finished work on the farm, and it was sooo nice to have a bit of a lay in! I slept until I woke up, about 8:30am, when everyone else was up and about. Having had some breakfast I then had a very productive morning - first I rang one of Mark and Fenella's family friends (who I have been introduced to) who owns and runs a pineapple farm. I asked him for a job for next week, but unfortunately being such short notice unsurprising...

Day 69 Fruit Picking - So today will be my last ever days work at the farm (probably). I was the only employee in, just helping Greg and his dad tidy up all sorts of stuff around the farm for end of the strawberry season. For example I packed away all the kit we used for picking, and tidied the entire packing shed while Greg was off doing fruit deliveries. I worked up until lunch time, when everything had been finished. Greg goes on holiday next week for 1 week...

Day 68 Fruit Picking - So today was the first time I went into work to do anything but work on Strawberries. We started at 7:30am, both with a bit of a sore head form yesterday. Greg and I took all the kit down to the Pineapples patches on the other side of the farm, across the creek to the strawberries. Day 67 Fruit Picking - Today was the last day working on the strawberries. All we had to do was finish picking the camerosa, which we had started yesterday. It was a nice warm, clear, morning and looked to the start of a nice day, but by lunch time it had clouded over and the wind had got up unfortunately. We finished picking by 12pm, but then went back out after lunch till 1:30pm doing some weeding, to let the shed catch up a bit. Having done that we had a l...
