This morning I woke up about 8ish, had some breakfast and got on with doing some curtain based work on my car I now - all the curtains apart from the back window ones have been fitted and work well. Today was one of the best I've had for ages - I thoroughly enjoyed the whole day.. I set my alarm and woke up about 7am, despite it being a Saturday morning. Day 65 Fruit Picking - Today rounds off what will almost definitely be my last full week on the farm. We are no longer picking anything but the Camerosa, which we had finished by about 11am. Hopefully we will go back and pick them again for the last time Monday/Tuesday next week, and that will be it. Day 64 Fruit Picking - Back out picking in the patch again today, but it seemed to be pretty slow progress. It's amazing how much 1 person leaving makes a difference to how much you cover in 1 day, let alone a week. Plus it was another hot day, 27+ by about 11am.. Greg has knocked all of the 'festival' strawberries on the head now - we will finish the Camerosa tomorrow, then pick them Monday/Tuesday next week, and that will be the end of my strawberry farm work...
