This morning we had booked a tour bus to go to Stonehenge and Bath and the Roman Baths. It takes the whole day, but I was glad to get to go. We got to spend about 45 minutes at Stonehenge. It is really interesting, and I think everyone really liked it. We took lots of photos, and it was a really nice day, so they turned out great.
It took a while to get to Bath, and we spent about 2 hours there. We went through the Roman Baths first. A public bath house was built from hot springs, and the structure still still stands. They had a cold room, a tepid room and a hot room. Its weird to think they did that such a long time ago. They had a lot of things they dug up from the bottom where people had thrown in gifts to the Roman gods thanking them for the springs.
We walked around the city for a few minutes, and it is a nice looking town. Everything is very uniform, and most of the town is made from this amber colored stone with similar building designs. Not a lot is modern looking or out of the ordinary and it makes the scenery pleasant. I would like to go back to Bath sometime and stay a few days.

Today was their last full day in London, so we tried to do everything that we could. First we went to Westminster Abbey. I haven't been there yet until today. It is very big and just tons of stuff in it. We got a tour guide, because there is no way you could find anything otherwise. He took us to the site where the Queen or King is crowned and showed us the coronation chair. We saw the tombs of Sir Isaac Newton, Charles Dickens, the Unknown Warrior, Charles Darwin, and lots of kings and queens. He said there is well over 3,000 people buried there. They have stopped because there really isn't any more space left. The stained glass and the stone carved ceilings were the most aesthetically beautiful features of the church.
Then we went over to St. Pauls Cathedral from Westminster Abbey. I think this church has better architecture and the best mosaics I've ever seen, but Abbey is more interesting. We walked up a narrow spiral staircase to the dome to look down on the church, and it was a really good view.
We walked over to the Globe Theatre from St. Pauls. Beside it is a museum where they have artifacts they found when they were digging up the old Globe theatre, and rooms set up like the costume designers workshop etc. Then we went into the theatre and had a guide tell us a few things about it and some history. It is very close to the original Globe theatre. It was on the river so everyone from out of town could get to it easily. There were also a couple more originally near it by just a few blocks. It was the theatre district back then.
We stopped inside Tate Modern because its next door to the Globe theatre. We looked at the big crack in the floor and then headed over to Harrods. We walked through it a little bit. It is a huge department store with only the top designers.
We had a full day, and we saw everything they wanted to in London.

We walked around Marylebone street shopping for a while this morning. We also went down Baker Street and they got a few souvenirs. We packed our bags and they got a taxi to the airport, and I took the subway home.
