11 mph
I asked Gill and Al if they knew any good plays to go to so they recommended Othello with Ewin Mcgregor as Iago and some other guy who has been getting great reviews for the part of Othello. Of course it is sold out until the last show but it shows everyday but Sunday and twice on Thursday and Saturday and they have 10 tickets standing room you can buy on the day of it, so if I go Thursday they really sell 20 tickets. I think I will have a decent chance of getting one if I try a couple of times.
This volunteer Phil came in today and this afternoon I helped him make the KODO program. It took about three hours but it turned out really nice and professional looking. KODO emailed us three photos and the write ups to go in the program and we organized it. We sent it to the printing press so they will be finished sometime this week.
I went over to Mark and Lawrys house for dinner on Thursday. We watched some British TV because I said I hadnt watched TV since Ive been here. I like the news much much better than American news. They just nicely and calmly come on and tell you what happened today and thats about it. No wild graphics and house fires and endless commercials telling you what they are about to tell you. I could actually watch their news.
It turns out that the distance from my house to Diorama is five miles. It takes around an hour to get to work everyday. And on Friday it took me one hour and twenty minutes. Al said the average speed of cars and buses in London is 11 mph.
Friday night after work CR and I went to this knitting shop where they show free movies while everyone knits. We watched Blood Diamond and it was really good.
